Man the weather is beautiful this time of the year here on Anna Maria island, but boy we wish someone would turn the fan off. We have been dealing with consistent 20 knot winds for the last couple weeks, even with this the fishing has been extremely good and Wildman Adventures has definitely been taking advantage of it.

My crew today wanted a few fish to throw on the grill while they were in town, so we started out on a reef inside of Tampa Bay where we caught some really nice Spanish Mackerel along with a couple Atlantic Sharp nose Sharks and Jack Crevelle. The nce we had enough for the grill my crew decided the wanted to go after the Snook and Redfish that they have never caught before

Katie’s Spanish Mackerel!

We spent the rest of the morning cruising the Mangroves around Anna Maria Island catching Snook. Kaite and Elliot probably boated around 15-20 Snook through out the rest of our trip. It was a great morning trip with my crew and I really enjoyed having them aboard.

Tarpon fishing is heating up Around Anna Maria Island and it should only get better as we approach June, we only have a couple days left toward the end of May and some openings in June. If you are wanting to check a Tarpon off your list now is the time and Wildman Adventures would love to make it happen. IT IS TARPON TIME! Tight Lines, Capt. Wes
