Today was a day of days! My guest today were down from Oregon, escaping the cold. We decided to go chase the awesome Triple Tail of the beaches of Anna Maria Island. It started out a little on the slow side. Due to the cloud cover and light breeze it made it difficult to see the fish and I honestly believe it made it hard for the fish to find the bait.

Once the clouds moved out and the sun started shining it was on. Even though we missed our first few opportunities today we still absolutely killed the Triple tail, land 6 out of the 9 fish that we fished. We kept three of them with the largest coming in at 11.2 lbs and measuring 26 inches, one of the largest fish I have ever landed.

The bite is absolutely spectacular right now from these amazing fish to a great Permit bite, all the sheepshead you could want and even catching the Snook and Redfish in the bushes. The rest of February and March are booking fast, hurry and don’t miss out on a unforgettable fishing trip. Tight Lines, Capt. Wes Wildman
