So far October has been a great month for fishing around Anna Maria Island. plenty of bait through out the flats, though it is still that 1/4 stuff. We have been focusing on catching Mangrove snapper and trout for the cooler since the Florida Wildlife Commission has closed harvest of Snook and Redfish due to the Red Tide epidemic, which by the way all reports across the board show little to no Redtide through out South West Florida. that being said there there are still plenty of Snook to be caught, we are averaging 30-40 per trip with a few slot fish in the mix. the Redfish are showing up in good numbers as we are catching a few per trip. Please do not let the media scare you our beautiful Anna Maria Island is alive and well.

Tight Lines,

Captain Wes Wildman
