We had one of our great family’s out again today, Mike Goldberg and his three boys Shay, Buzzy, And Pacey. These guys had an absolute great day filling the cooler up with a variety of species including Mangrove Snapper, Black Seabass, Sheephead, and Whiting. We also caught a few catch and release Snook and Redfish.

We started with the snapper fishing a limestone ledge inside Sarasota bay, we quickly caught 10 keeper size Snappers, a few Seabass and a bunch of catch and Release Gag Grouper.

We then moved on to an area that I have been catching some nice Sheephead. The boy managed for nice keepers before the bite slowed and we decided to move on to the next species, the southern gulf kingfish. These guys are also known as Whiting, the interesting thing about Whiting is that they are an unregulated species but make great table fair. The boys managed 10 or so nice keepers before we wrapped up our morning and headed back to the dock
