The wind finally laid down today and made our day exceptional. My crew from Pittsburgh told me they wanted some fish for a few meals while they stayed here on Gorgeous Anna Maria Island, so that exactly what they got.
We headed off the beach to some nearshore hard bottom to see if we could fill the cooler. At first I was a little worried due to there not being much current but once we got setup we realized the fish did not care. They had a fantastic morning catching Hogfish, Sheephead, Porgy, and all the Keywest grunts they could handle.
The fishing is Fantastic here on Anna Maria Island and I expect it to only get better. If you are bringing your family to the island for Springbreak and like to fish dont miss out and book your trip today, March is filling up fast. Tight Lines, Capt. Wes Wildman
