Today was one for the books, I had the pleasure of fishing with my good buddy Opie from Vermont. Boy did we have a good time, he even let me catch a few. It was definitely a scorcher out there today, but the fishing was also on fire around Anna Maria Island.
We started our morning around some rocks out by egmont Key where we caught a limit of Snapper ranging from 15 to 18 inches and a few Jack Crevelle mixed in.
After we had our fill of snapper we headed inshore to Terra Ceia Bay. We set up on a mangrove line deep inside the bay and got on a absolute epic Redfish bite until we literally ran out of bait. We were catching them two at a time for over 2 hrs, all over slot fish between 30-32 inches. We also landed a few decent snook and some trout in the mix.
